Where are they taken?
Plastics are collected from the kerbside mixed with other recycling. It is taken to a materials recovery facility (MRF) in the UK where it is sorted into individual waste streams before being transported for recycling.

What happens to them?
Once separated out at the MRF, the plastic is sent for grading and recycling at the following places:
