Where is it taken?
The glass is collected from the kerbside mixed with other recycling. It is taken to a materials recovery facility (MRF) in the UK where it is sorted into individual waste streams. Find out more about Materials Recovery Facilities here.

What happens to it?
The high quality glass is crushed, washed and melted down to be used in new glass products. The lower quality mixed glass is used as aggregate for roads.
